How it works
No tickets, no deposits. Just a time, a place and a guide waiting for you.
Reserve your spot
Pick a city and a walk, choose a date, and tell us how many people are coming. It takes a minute.
Meet your guide
Look for the marigold umbrella at the meeting point 10 minutes before the start time.
Tip at the end
Liked the walk? Pay your guide in cash or UPI what you think it was worth. That is how they earn a living.
As per your wish, no demand
There is no minimum and no one checks. Give whatever the walk was worth to you.
Tip whatever feels right for the walk you had.
Give what you can. No one checks and no one minds.
You’re still welcome. A good review or telling your friends helps too.
Choose a city
Each city has its own guides and its own walks. Tap a city to see what runs this week.
Book a walk
Reserving keeps the groups small and lets your guide plan the route. Free to book, free to cancel.
What to bring
Comfortable shoes, a water bottle, and a scarf or shawl for temple visits. Shoulders and knees should be covered at religious sites.

Questions
Is the tour really free?
Yes. You pay nothing to book or join. At the end you tip your guide what you think the tour was worth. Entry tickets to monuments, if any, are paid separately at the gate.
What language are tours in?
All walks run in English. Many guides also speak Hindi and the local language, and some offer French, Spanish or German on request.
Can I pay the tip by card?
Most guides accept cash and UPI. A few accept cards; ask your guide at the start of the walk.
Are the walks suitable for children?
Yes, children are welcome. Some old-city lanes are busy and narrow, so hold small hands and skip the stroller if you can.
What happens if it rains?
Walks go ahead in light rain. During heavy monsoon downpours your guide may shorten the route or reschedule, and you’ll get a message an hour before.
Know your city by heart?
We’re looking for licensed guides in Hyderabad, Amritsar and Udaipur. Lead walks on your own schedule and keep every rupee you’re tipped.
